On being in the english countryside, book events and teaching

Just a little update from me as I'm back in the UK for a few days for my book launch and delighting in the feeling of being 'home'

It’s been a delight to be back in England this week; I spent twenty four hours at Guernsey Lit Fest, and I can’t begin to tell you what a joy and privilege it is to see The Giant on the Skyline in the world ( even tho it’s not officially out until later this week, preordered copies are now landing so please order yours at your favourite local indie bookshop, or from Waterstones for a signed copy straight to your door - these can be ordered right here). And it has been even more lovely to have the chance to talk about it at two events (so far!) in front of an audience of wonderful readers. I never take the privilege of speaking at an event and being given the chance to connect with readers for granted.

A big part of the reason I write is to feel connected to other people like this via our shared experiences and our humanity. I am speaking in Oxford, Wantage and Chorleywood this week, and then am back in the last week in May for many other talks at several other lovely venues - take a look at the events page on my website for all the details.

I also wanted to share that I am holding a memoir writing and creative living masterclass in Gloucestershire on Thursday 13th June - there are just two spaces remaining, and if you’d like to join me, please send me a message on here for all the details.

And also just wanted to say a massive, massive thank you to everyone for the support you have shown me and The Giant on the Skyline so far, you have no idea how much it means.
