Questions of Creativity: "Will my creativity thrive in scheduled times?"

Do you find greater creative freedom when you have scheduled that time? Do you honour time blocked off to be creative? Will my creativity thrive in scheduled times?

This is how I am starting a way for us to talk about creativity on here, using a feature I’m going to call “Questions of Creativity.” The idea is this: you can ask me anything at all about creativity, and I’ll choose a question, then have a think about it, and post a video like this one, answering one of your questions.

This will be a new feature for my paid subscribers I’m really hoping as many of you as possible might contribute a question. You might want to ask me about creative writing and memoir - for example, how do I structure my work, how do I overcome self doubt, or how do I develop metaphor, or how do I write memoir without upsetting other people, or how many words in a first draft?

Or you might ask me something specific to a project you are struggling with - how do I find focus, how do I pull the threads of an idea together, how do I create time to write alongside my normal work?

So ask away in the comments… ask me about writing, self expression, creativity, life; ask me, literally, anything, and I’ll pick an answer from your responses below to workshop in a video, which is available to all paid subscribers.
